I'm a bit confused about paladin caster levels and spells per day. I believe the caster level is half the paladin level, rounded down. However, at 4th and 5th levels you get 1st level spells-per-day based on only your wisdom modifier. I can't figure out how the wisdom modifier works. Do you get 2 1st-level spells per day at 4th and 5th level because of the +2 wisdom modifier? Or 4 because of the 14 wisdom score? Or what?
